We Are Made of Stardust: Review &Giveaway!

**She's a sassy bookstore manager, he's a famous actor. This Notting Hill-inspired New Adult romance is outrageous, funny, and full of SEX, SEX, SEX.**

Peaches Monroe, age 22, is a plus-sized beauty who spends quiet days with books, in the small town of Beaverdale, Washington.

One Saturday afternoon, she's balancing precariously on a chair, in a bridesmaid dress, when a handsome dark-haired man comes running into the bookstore. He knocks Peaches over, she lands in his muscular arms. They lock gazes, and ...

She recognizes him.

As the sexy vampire heartthrob she watches on TV once a week.

Peaches and Dalton Deangelo are completely wrong for each other. He's only in town temporarily, working on an indie movie. She should stay away. He should stay away, too.

But they're drawn to each other. Dalton claims it's because they're made from the same stardust. He says a lot of dramatic things, but it's his carbohydrate-free perfect body and sexy touch that turns Peaches to Jell-O.

Kath's thoughts: Wow! Just wow! I was instantly hooked to Petra "Peaches" Monroe’s point of view. I love her! I love her humorous thoughts. So I’m not exactly sure why she described herself as “I’m not the fun girl in my group of friends” because seriously she may not be like the other girls but definitely she is all fun. Well, in a unique kind of way. Her sarcasm’s punch lines are the best! I love her! I want a best friend like Peaches!

I’ll describe Peaches Monroe to you as a chubby chic (which makes her have great amount of her “peaches”), in her early twenties (22 years old to be exact), a bookstore manager in a small town called Beaverdale, Washington. She loves to read books, goes online shopping (apparently she buys weird things when she’s drunk enough) and definitely has an effortless great humor. (Yes! She may not know she’s funny but that’s just her. Effortless) Oh and this girl can’t be shushed “My mouth cannot be silenced. If you want to get on my bad side, try to shush me. Just try.” See that thought? That’s just Peaches, a fierce woman. So just try to shush her and you’ll see what happens.

Anyway, Peaches' life in a simple small town is not that bad. She actually got it all under control. Until she fell into the arms of Dalton Deangelo and nope I’m serious she literally fell into the arms of a hot TV actor when she’s trying to fix a vent, covering it with a packing tape while teetering back and forth in a wooden stool. How is that for a first meeting with a hot stranger?

Dalton Deangelo also known as Drake Cheshire the sexy, bad-ass vampire who is in town for filming an Indie movie. He accidentally knocked Peaches of her feet when he came rushing to her bookstore breathing heavily because he’s being chased. Hot, rich, famous actor, steamy hot, hot-ness overload (okay I just keep on repeating HOT) He just gives you a breath-taking lines like “Let’s just be two souls tonight. Two souls who are made of Stardust, and found their way back to each other, the way they were destined to.” Or says the sweetest, hottest things like “No. Kiss me like I’m dangerous,” he said. “Kiss me like I’m bad for you.” I’m pretty much sure every girl would just fall after those lines, and would end up kissing him until he wants it. So Peaches is lucky don’t you think?

Mimi Strong’s We Are Made of Stardust is definitely a good read! Actually it’s better than great? (See! I don’t have the right word to describe it!) It is that amazing! Amazingly well written, so smooth going that I didn’t expect that as an ending. I mean come on!!! That’s it?! I want more! More of Peaches Monroe! But no worries book 2 will be out soon in Fall 2013. So before book 2 comes out I strongly suggest to you ladies to read this! Find out if Peaches and Dalton are really made out of stardust.

Emma's thoughts: Oh my giddyaunt....where to start!! This book is just amazeballs – Mimi Strong is one amazing author. Being curvy myself I totally loved this book and dived right into it – I was so there with Peaches on more than one occasion and could relate to her with her being body conscious and let me tell you that rarely do you get a book that is so well written and has so many laugh out loud moments – I’d be happily reading away and then proper belly chuckling away only to get a weird look from my hubby as though I was an alien, lol, this book cheered me up no end!! What an ending...argh :D

Now Dalton – well hes sizzling hot and I mean totally sizzling as in skin scorching HOT, he is now one of my many book crushes ;)

Okay, I'm not going to give anything away with regards to the storyline but what I will say is READ IT!!!!!! You will not be disappointed!!

Its a definite must read, I just hope that Mimi doesn't keep us waiting too long :)

Congrats to Mimi on an amazing book!!!!

MIMI FACTS:

Q. Where did the idea for We are Made of Stardust come from?
A. My favorite romantic movie is Notting Hill, and I think any of us who've worked a retail job have fantasized about our favorite actor walking through the door! I think this story has been in my head for years. Most people would get so nervous, they wouldn't even speak to the actor, so I needed a girl who could hold her own and then some. Along came Peaches. She doesn't see herself as a fun girl, but oh boy is she fun.

Q. How long does it take you to write a novel?
A. I wish I was one of those speedy authors who can write a full-length novel in one week, but it takes me about 5 weeks to complete a first draft of something as long and involved as We are Made of Stardust. Then I still have to do research and editing. I think the second novel in the series will go faster, as I know the characters better. I'm always working hard so my readers don't have to wait long.

Q. Why do you self-publish?
A. I started self-publishing in 2011 when I couldn't find a publisher for my first novel, Charlie. (Written under my YA pen name, Dalya Moon.) That's when I first discovered the amazing indie community, with book bloggers and other fun authors such as the folks who hang out in the Kboards' Writers' Cafe. From then, there was no stopping me! Stardust is book #15 for me, and I'm having a lot of fun. Oh, it's stressful at times, and there are low moments, but those times are when you find out what you're made of. I think what keeps me grounded are the great friends I've made, and giving back to the indie community.

Q. When people find out you write erotic romance, do they treat you like a freak?
A. Yes, but the cool people treat you like the right kind of freak. People already think I'm weird that I self-publish. Actually, most random acquaintances find the topic quite dull until I mention I write “dirty billionaire stuff,” which is why I usually keep it under my hat. It's hard for me to really cut loose if I'm thinking about people reading the books.
