Book Review: Dazzled

Dazzled by Jane Harvey-Berrick: When Hollywood calls, is the price for fame too high?

Miles Stephens is a young actor from London. Out of work, unemployable, and fired from his last job, he gets the chance to star in a break-out role in a big-time Hollywood film.

The film is a great success, propelling him to worldwide Hollywood fame – but it’s not all it’s cracked up to be, and the pressure starts to get to Miles.

Throughout, he is supported by his friend, Clare, the girl next door whom he grew up with – and who is secretly in love with him.

Miles finds out that fame and fortune isn’t everything he’d dreamed about.

Emma's thoughts: I had the great pleasure of meeting Jane at The London Authors signing event on the 9th November 2013 and until that point I hadn't read any of her novels......until now - I totally loved Dazzled, my signed book is one of my favourites to grace my pride of place bookcase, I also have Dangerous to Know & Love, Education of Sebastian and Education of Caroline - all written and signed by Jane.

So, onto my review....

Dazzled starts in London where Miles is an out of work actor who gets the chance to star in a big time Hollywood movie - and then there’s Clare his best friend who has been there for him through thick and thin so naturally he turns to her for much needed support and so the story begins....I’m not going to post any spoilers as I’m not a fan of reviews with them in as it spoils the whole novel and in the end what’s the point in reading it!

Anyhow - Dazzled is from both Mile’s and Clare’s point of views and I love that about this book, they are both extremely likable characters and I found myself chuckling out loud a few times :)

My recommendation is READ IT!! You won’t regret it - it is such a fantastic easy read and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Will there be a sequel? I really hope so, I’d love to read what’s in store for Miles and Clare and I would definitely be one clicking on release day (hint, hint Jane).

Congratulations Jane on an amazing novel – you are one lovely lady who I would now consider a friend (coffee soon?) lol.

Oh and I've just got to say – yes it is Sam Callahan from X Factor UK on the cover :)

5 Well deserved beautiful hearts!!
