Book Review: Loving Charley

Loving Charley (Full Circle, #3) by Casey Peeler: When Charley decides to make Dylan famous, she never thought about the repercussions that might occur, and how it would affect everyone around her.

Now that she has followed through with the plan, she is unsure of what the future holds. She has to decide what is more important in life: living her dream, speaking the truth, or keeping quiet.

Charley’s life comes full circle when her freshman year comes to an end. Will Dylan be in her past and Cash in her future? Or will Dylan continue to be an eerie constant in her life?

I had been waiting for this third book in the Full Circle Series for a couple of months and I had to read it real slow as I didn't want it to end.

We were introduced to all the fantastic and very real characters in books 1&2. Charley or Char-Coal and Cash or Cash-Money were the central focus of all the books but we really did get to know all the characters. Charley has a boyfriend in high school who drugged and raped her. Cash, her friend since she was young, saved her that night and continued to do so throughout the series, making us totally fall in love with him! Charley decides to go away to college where she makes friends with an amazing group of girls. The author really made me feel like I was reliving my university days as their antics were so typical of 18 year old girls. They supported Charley when Dylan (the rapist) finds ways to still control her.

This story finds Charley wanting this control back and through the love and support of all those around her she brings Dylan down.

Casey Peeler is an amazing author who has managed to deal with an extremely sensitive subject matter with compassion and humour. She included lots of references to the local area with dialectical features and references to country ways ( I had to ask the author what some of these were as a reader from the UK) Especially what 'Choice Cherry Gold was as this was Charley's drink of choice and was referred to a lot, and I like to be able to imagine what I am reading about.

I really enjoyed this book and the whole series. I hope maybe we will hear more from Casey Peeler in the future. I give this book 5 hearts
