Book Review: Connected

Connected (Broken #2) by A.E. Murphy: Stuck between what feels wrong but should be right and what is definitely wrong but feels so right, Gwen has to deal with her new life and being a single mother to her baby, Dillan. Whilst trying to move on and fill the gaping hole that Caleb left behind, she struggles with the knowledge of what happened to Nathan.

She doesn't know how to deal with it, knowing it could be her that saves him, but not wanting to betray Caleb, who still holds the largest piece of her heart.

Her mind is a mess and, just as life starts looking better, dark secrets and a past she shouldn't be a part of threaten to rip her bliss into shreds.

Who will she choose? And, more importantly, can they survive what is thrown their way?

This is the final part to the Broken series.

Ahhhh…the most satisfying ending to a story ever. This two book series is so worth reading!!!!! The things that Nathan has lived through and continues to struggle with are brutal to read, but so well written and believable. The struggle that Gwen goes through in grieving and trying to move on is also believable. It is frustrating as well, but that makes it even more believable. You can feel her grief, indecision, and frustration. The love and friendship that grow between Nathan and Gwen was just real and so moving to me.

As the mysteries unfold throughout the story, I found myself impatiently screaming for characters to start explaining. I couldn’t wait to get all of the information. At the same time, I didn’t want the story to end, so tried my best to not rush. My emotions, as I found out what really happened, were all over the place. I felt the heartbreak of both Nathan and Gwen completely, because mine was breaking right along with theirs. The epilogue was perfect and gave me everything I wanted.

I really can’t say enough good things about this two book series. The first book, Broken, is free right now. The second book is $3.15 on Amazon. In my opinion, this is a steal. Take a chance on this series if you like emotional reads. It is so good!!!
