Book Review: Ugly Love

Ugly Love by Colleen Hoover: When Tate Collins meets airline pilot Miles Archer, she knows it isn't love at first sight. They wouldn't even go so far as to consider themselves friends. The only thing Tate and Miles have in common is an undeniable mutual attraction. Once their desires are out in the open, they realize they have the perfect set-up. He doesn't want love, she doesn't have time for love, so that just leaves the sex. Their arrangement could be surprisingly seamless, as long as Tate can stick to the only two rules Miles has for her.

Never ask about the past.
Don’t expect a future.

They think they can handle it, but realize almost immediately they can’t handle it at all.

Hearts get infiltrated.
Promises get broken.
Rules get shattered.
Love gets ugly.

Jennifer's thoughts: One of the best books I have ever read. Not just this year, but ever. Really. I know...it's hard for me to say that because I have read a lot of great books written by many talented authors. This story makes you feel every single emotion that you possess. It's full of so much raw emotion--you will feel hope one minute only to feel crushed the next. But trust me it is worth the read.

I have only read a couple of Colleen Hoover's novels...Hopeless and Maybe Someday. I liked both of them, but neither compare to the beauty of this story.

Miles seemed like a mystery throughout most of the book. It was obvious he had loved and loved so hard that when it ended he was broken. I liked not knowing his entire story until near the end. It kept me reading and wanting to read more. I knew there was something there. Something terrible that made him give up on love.

Tate fell for Miles and fell hard. I didn't always like the way she allowed him to treat her, but she couldn't help herself. Sometimes love makes you do crazy things...and it's okay because nobody said that love is easy. Right?

This story is brilliant, beautiful, flawless, sexy, amazing, raw, and addictive. Thank you, Colleen Hoover for such a beautiful story. And yes, I will read it again.
